Day 3 (September 17) - Alive in Deadwood

Risking Big Sky Thai last night paid off-dinner was quite good.  We enjoyed a nice walk afterwards as the moon was competing with the fading daylight.  Today we started off right (and timely) with a great breakfast at Joe’s Diner.  Again, a healthy lunch in the Transit.  The 400+ miles went by pretty quickly, as we continued on I-90, experiencing beautiful scenery, and once we hit Wyoming, the ubiquitous antelope herds.

Upon arriving in Deadwood, we took a brief motor tour, then settled on dinner at Mustang Sally’s, a sports bar and grill, where we watched the Seahawks game, and chowed down on hamburgers and fried (counterbalancing our healthy lunch).

Tomorrow we intend to do a bit of sightseeing in Deadwood, and hit the trail for a short 16 mile ride to Carsten Cottages.  There is no internet service there so our next post will capture both Day 4 & 5.

Best to all!
Rob & Diane

Stopped to put fossil fuel in the Transit and say "Hi" to Dino.

Evening in Livingston, MT
