As hoped, breakfast at the historic Brooks Hotel was quite
good. And we successfully completed our
road trip to Livingston, MT (Gateway to Yellowstone), some 345 miles, in good
time. We crossed the Rockies and
Continental Divide at Homestake Pass (6329 feet). Again, a scenic drive in good company, one refuel
stop, and a healthy lunch in the Transit.
We had planned to cycle the Missouri Headwaters Trail at
Three Forks, but when we saw that it was more like a “get you from here to
there” trail rather than a scenic ride, we nixed the idea, got back on I-90 and
scooted in to Livingstone.
Most of I-90 through Montana has been posted at 80 or 85 MPH. We held the Transit steady at 70 mph and let
the pickups whiz by. The Transit continues to run like a great little sewing
machine.
Undertaking a slightly adventurist risk, we have decided to
eat Thai (our favorite cuisine) tonight.
Fingers crossed. Tomorrow, Deadwood!

| Our Transit parked beside a land yacht with two bikes on a rack and pulling a RAV. Just goes to show there is one than more way to haul bicycles. |
